Freedom

Taking the time to smile and sing
I look for the laughter my job will bring
Life abounds in little things
Easily seen from my freedom
Done with the dues I had to pay
No longer caring what neighbors say
No one owns me anyway
For I have attained my freedom
Many years I was on this quest
For the heart and home where I could rest
There is one way only to this success
Known in the soul as freedom
Ive suffered enough to quickly discern
Whats worth our love - whats not a concern
When to rest and for what to yearn
Learning that tears are the keys to freedom
Supposing I happened to die today
I know in my heart it would be okay
Im bound to fully enjoy my stay
Now that Ive found my freedom
