Abortion Details

I don't like abortion as an act. However, I will remain pro-choice for practical reasons.

I was most persuaded on this issue by a friend. Her "argument" was so clear.


She was adopted.


She was one of the best friends I ever had. To think that her mother had the choice of killing her before birth... We both thought about it. Looking at what she is now, and what might not have been, was, to me, a profound argument against abortion.

Also when you know what the act entails, it really is tough to approve.

I do not think it likely that we will get abortion illegal (it is not realistic), and even if we do, some women will go "underground."

I prefer to focus on prevention, so that abortion rarely needs to be an issue.
